Glofish are slowly becoming the most popular pet fish species. Due to their illuminous color and relatively low maintenance, it is not a surprise that they are so popular. If you decide to get glofish, you will want to make sure their tank and decor match their vibrant aesthetics. In today’s article I will review the best glofish tank decorations.
Best Glofish Tank Decor
The best glofish tank decorations are the four piece glow in the dark plant set, the glofish jelly fish, and the glofish castle.
It is important to note that you will need the Glofish Fluorescent light or a blue LED light for these decor to glow in the dark. However, if you don’t have the light, I added a couple other glofish tank decor ideas that don’t require light.
4 Piece Glow in the Dark Set
This 4 piece plant set is a great addition to any glofish tank. It comes with two bright coral pieces (1 branch coral and 1 coral reef), as well as an Anemone and a Mushroom. The heights range from 9 to 20 centimeter.
They give your glofish places to rest and hide, which can help prevent them from constantly chasing each other.
The 3 main colors are bright green, pink, and purples. The coolest part about this glofish decor is that it will glow in the dark if you have a glofish light or a LED blue light.
The plants have a suction cup at the bottom which you can easily stick to your fish tank. You can also just cover the plants with your substrate. If you have a powerful filter or air pump, the ornaments will sway in the water, which gives a very realistic touch.

If you have a fish tank that is at least 10 gallons, I recommend this 6-piece jellyfish set. They will compliment the 4 piece plant set really well.
The jellyfish come in bright yellow, green, pink, purple, orange, and blue colors. They are translucent, and also glow in the dark if you have a glofish or LED light. Another great feature is that the jellyfish will change color depending on the light settings.
What I also really like about these jellyfish is that you attach it to your fish tank with a suction cup and an invisible thin line. This allows the jellyfish to move around the water, making the jellyfish look like they are real.
Castle
This glofish castle is another must have for your glofish tank decor. The castle will glow in the dark with the glofish light, sporting a pink, green, and blue color.
What’s great about the castle is that it has a little hole at the opening that allows you glofish to swim through. It can also serve as a hiding spot or even a sleeping spot for your glofish. This can help reduce anxiety in your glofish.
The only downside about the castle is that it is 4.2 inches tall. For this reason, I suggest you only use it if you have a tank that is 20 gallons or smaller. If your tank is bigger, the castle might not be noticeable.

Aquarium decorations glofish tank ideas if you don’t have light
If you don’t have an LED or glofish light, there are still plenty of cool glofish aquarium decor that will bring your tank to life.
SpongeBob
A SpongeBob themed fish tank is another great option for your glofish tank. These ornaments offer plenty of spaces for your glofish to swim through, and their bright colors also mesh well with fluorescent glofish. There are also some cool bikini bottom plants that would go well in your tank.
You can also use some colorful pebbles like the picture above to brighten up your tank.
Last on the list of glofish tank decor is this awesome 14-piece castle set. You can buy it on amazon for only around $35. It comes with a Castle, 3 small princess mermaids, 4 coral pieces, and 6 plants. All of the plants are very bright, which will certainly mesh well with your glofish.
This set is great for fish tanks of all sizes, and provides plenty of space for your glofish to explore and hide. The only downside is that the castle will not glow in the dark.
